Is it true that men who like boyish women are gay?

Please do not be offended, but I heard someone say that some (not all) gay men will go for women that are rather boyish. I saw a question about a gay man crushing after butch lesbians. Or some that are bisexual will go for boyish women as oppose to the girly ones. If a gay man ever does decide to be with a woman, would they choose the boyish girl over the girly girl?? I am not trying to offend, this just sparked my interest :)
